Marketplace Transformation

We must see Breakthrough - the personal, regional, and global expansion of God's kingdom through His manifest presence, resulting in sustained societal transformation in the marketplace.

The marketplace is broader than the realm of business; it is the context for every kind of social interaction. According to the vision that God gave Loren Cunningham of Youth with a Mission in 1975, there are seven strategic mountains of influence that shape the minds of the people of the culture of every nation, and the marketplace is the arena in which these influences are displayed. As God's people capture these strategic places, there will be marketplace transformation and we will reap the harvest of nations.

God gave us the understanding of these mountains to guide us in carrying out the Great Commission of Matthew 28 to disciple nations for Him This Commission calls every believer to continue the ministry that Jesus and his followers modeled. The majority of Jesus' miracles happened in the marketplace and most of His parables concerned the marketplace. Thirty-nine out of forty supernatural manifestations recorded in the book of Acts happened in the marketplace. The gospel of the Kingdom that He preached and demonstrated is a gospel meant to transform every sphere of society. The true fulfillment of the Great Commission will bring people into a complete experience of the kingdom of God that includes godly economic systems, Bible-based forms of government, education anchored in God's Word, families with Jesus at the head, entertainment that portrays God in His variety and excitement, media that is based on communicating the truth in love, and churches that serve as sending stations for missionaries into all areas of society.

God wants to use us in our "mountain" or sphere of influence so that we can fulfill our God-given destiny to change the world!
